Privacy Policy

We collect only what a product, a project or a request needs. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Scope

This policy describes how Sound Measure Labs LLC ("Sound Measure Labs", "we") handles personal data on this website, soundmeasure.ai, through the forms on it, in the products we publish, and in client work. Where a product has its own privacy page, that page takes precedence for that product.

2. This website

• The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.
• The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy.

3. The updates list

If you subscribe to updates, we store your email address, the date you subscribed, the page you subscribed from and the status of your subscription. We do not store your IP address. We use the address only to send the updates described next to the form, no more than once a month. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, your address is marked as unsubscribed so that we do not add it again by mistake, and it is deleted on request.

4. Support and inquiry forms

When a product is available, a product support form collects the product, the topic, your email address, your message and, if you choose to give them, your device and app version.

• We use what you send only to understand and respond to your request.
• Submissions are stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare and a copy is sent to us by email.
• We do not store IP addresses with submissions.
• Support requests are kept for up to 24 months after the request is closed. Inquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. We delete them earlier on request.
• Each form has protections against automated abuse. They do not identify you.

5. Our products

• Each product has its own privacy page on this website and a privacy label on the App Store. Where a product's page differs from this policy, the product's page applies.
• Our products are designed to collect only what they need to work, and to keep data on your device where that is practical.
• If a product stores data in a service you control, such as your iCloud account, that data stays in your account.
• Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details.
• We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.

6. Client project data

Data that clients share with us for a project is governed by that engagement's agreement, which takes precedence over this policy. We keep client data separate from our own products, limit access to the people working on the project, and do not use it to train AI models unless the client agrees to that in writing.

7. Children

This website, its forms and our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your data and your requests

You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the New York data protection laws, the GDPR or the CCPA, and we honor those rights where they apply. Send requests by mail to the address below. We respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data we already hold, we announce it on this website and, where we have your email address for updates, by email.
